Step 1: Federal Aviation Regulations (FARs)
The Federal Aviation Regulations (FARs) are rules prescribed by the Federal Aviation Administration governing all aviation (General. Commercial, and Military Aviation) activities in the United States. The FARs are part of the Code of Federal Regulations. There are a wide variety of activities regulated by the FAA, such as typical airline flights, pilot training activities, hot-air ballooning and even model rocket launches. The rules are designed to promote aviation safety, protect pilots, passengers and the general public from unnecessary risk. FARs also protect the national security of the United States.
