There are numerous women organizations that encourage and promote the advancement of women in all aviation/aerospace career fields and interests. Visit their web site to learn more about their organization, programs, scholarships, and/or services offered, and possibly join as a member.

Association for Women in Aviation Maintenance (AWAM)
This organization's purpose is to provide opportunities for women who work in the aviation maintenance fields to have a place to share information and network, education, to foster a sense of community and increase in public awareness of women in the industry.



International Society of Women Airline Pilots (ISA+21)
This organization's mission is to encourage women to enter the airline pilot workforce. They want to promote aviation science among women.




The Ninety-Nines
The Ninety-Nines. Our organization was founded in 1929 by 99 licensed women pilots for the mutual support and advancement of aviation.


The Whirly Girls Inc.
This organization's goals include the exchange of information, promotion of interest among women in helicopters, and advancement of the acceptance of rotary wing aircraft in the community.



Women in Aviation International (WAI)
This organization encourages women to seek opportunities in aviation. This organization includes members of all sorts such as astronauts, corporate pilots, maintenance technicians, air traffic controllers, business owners, educators, journalists, flight attendants, high school and university students, and many others. It also encourages women to consider having a career in aviation.


Women Soaring Pilots Association (WSPA)
The organization's goal is to promote all aspects of soaring for women glider pilots.
