Some schools may require
you to complete the Financial Aid PROFILE form in addition to
the FAFSA. The PROFILE form is a financial aid application service
of the College Board. The PROFILE form asks additional and more
specific questions (not generally covered by the FAFSA form)
in which some organizations and schools will use to determine
your eligibility for nonfederal student aid such as institutional
aid.
There is a nonrefundable registration fee plus an additional
charge for each school or organizations that you want your
Profile information sent to. You should be able to obtain
copies of the PROFILE form from your high school guidance
office, financial aid office, and The College
Board’s web site, which can be completed online.
You can learn more about the Profile form, including what
schools require financial aid applicants to complete the Profile,
at The
College Board's website. You also have the option of contacting
each school’s financial aid office that you applied
to for admission, and ask if you are required to complete
the PROFILE form in addition to the FAFSA.
