Step 1: Considering a Career in Aviation?

Here are some questions you may want to ask yourself, if you are considering a career in aviation. There are no right or wrong answers, but all of these questions are closely related to the aviation/aerospace industry and the challenges of our changing economy and business models.
1. Would Aviation be a good career for me?
2. What are my interests and career goals?
3. Do I enjoy science and math courses?
4. Am I open to change?
5. Am I flexible to work different shifts (various hours of the day, weekends, holidays, etc.)?
6. Am I willing to relocate to another city or state for a job?
7. Do I like to travel?
8. Do I work well in a team environment and alone as an individual?
9. Am I a self-starter?
10. Do I like working with customers/general public?
11. Am I a patient person?
12. Do I readily accept new procedures for completing a familiar task?
13. Am I willing to earn a post-secondary degree or certificate?
14. Do I have a record of dependability and punctuality for work?
15. Do I pay attention to details?
16. Am I able to operate under pressure? And under strict guidelines?
17. Am I willing to admit to mistakes?
