Note: Administrative and managerial personnel perform a broad range of duties in almost every part of the economy. that allow organizations to operate efficiently. Airlines and airports employ thousands of receptionists, typists, secretaries, stenographers, mail and file clerks, and computer personnel, as well as people in managerial positions such as training, public relations, publications, finance, personnel, and other kinds of work associated with business and industry. Salaries, qualifications, and training opportunities are the same as for other workers in these areas of employment.




 
Travel Agents
Travel agents help tourists and businesspeople sort out their travel options, assess their needs, and make the best possible travel arrangements. They give advice on destinations and arrange for transportation, hotel accommodations, car rentals, tours, and recreation. They may also advise on weather conditions, restaurants, and tourist attractions. For international travel, agents provide information on customs, regulations, passports, visas, certificates of vaccination, and currency exchange rates. Much of a travel agent’s expertise comes from published and computer-based sources, but many agents also gain first-hand knowledge by visiting hotels, restaurants, resorts, and other destinations.
