leading to the seizure of assets gained from the sale
of illegal drugs.

Customs
agent enforce laws governing imports and exports to prevent
smuggling of goods across the U.S. borders. Their responsibilities
includes: insuring that all cargo is properly described,
inspecting baggage and articles carried by passengers
and crew members; examining, counting, weighing, gauging,
measuring and sampling commercial and noncommercial cargoes
entering and leaving the U.S. to determine admissibility
and the amount of duties that must be paid. Customs agents
are stationed at airports, seaports, and border crossing
points in the U.S. and/or overseas.
Security
officers patrol and inspect property to protect airlines
and airports against fire, theft, vandalism, and illegal
activity. Although all security officers perform the same
general function, specific duties vary with the size,
type, and location of the employer, as well as the type
of assignment. Security officers may work in a static
security position or on a mobile patrol. Those assigned
to static security positions usually serve their client
or employer at one location, while officers assigned to
mobile patrol duty drive or walk from location to location
and conduct security checks within an assigned geographical
zone. Some officers carry weapons that must be licensed
by the appropriate government authority.

federal regulations regarding all aspects of aviation
security and the hazardous materials regulations.

Civil
Aviation Security Specialists
Civil aviation security specialists are responsible
for coordinating and performing investigative, inspection
and advisory work on airport and air carrier security
cases at designated airports in a geographical area.
Special Agents assure the understanding and compliance
with federal regulations regarding all aspects of
aviation security.
